Farm Visit

Call me crazy!

Go ahead, call me crazy! But how I see it is that being 38-39 weeks pregnant during the school holidays was always going to be hard work. I thought I might as well do something to entertain the boys and make some memories.

So today we caught the train & tram and went to the museum to see the dinosaurs, bugs and human body displays.

Jack enjoyed the bugs and spiders the most.

Lachlan clearly enjoyed himself! He did make some dinosaur noises and seemed impressed by the skeletons.

After the museum we ended up at RCH for a check up with Jack's doctor. So a huge day all up! Lots of walking and trams and trains! Hopefully we will all sleep really well tonight.

Peppa pig was on tv so he wouldn't look at me.

Gastro... again...sigh...

We thought we had cleared the 48 hour mark, he even had a full day at kinder, BUT... it returned... same, same, but different... If you get my drift!

Anyway he stayed in bed all morning - un heard of!!! And the afternoon was on the couch. Lacking in energy and occasionally grumpy.

Leigh gave him some footy cards and Lachlan graciously or clumsily broke his lego fire truck giving Jack the opportunity to rebuild.  

I made him breakfast in bed. He now thinks this should happen every day. He does have one recommendation, we should install a tv and DVD player in his room. He has even shown me where it would go and how it would plug in.

First day at Auskick

Before kids this was how I pictured my life with kids.  Sitting in the cold near a sporting field with a thermos of hot tea, watching my children. Today that vision came into reality!

What happened to me? Let's say a mothers stress, tiredness and boiling water doesn't mix well.

Everything is ok.

 In fact we are all smiles!

Almost 5 years old and using my old student desk that my Papa refurbished for me about 25 years ago!

Hospital Treat... I mean trip!

A trip to the children's was "awesome" according to him. On the way home he asked if next time, could he please stay for months and months!

Coffee required ASAP!

I was woken at 4am this morning and couldn't get back to sleep until 6am. Of course the alarm went off at 6:30am. 

So this afternoon a rare coffee was allowed! Lachlan - always the scavenger - needed some coffee too!
